Pickup information It is very easy to spot our guide, our company’s logo, and your name are prominently displayed. Arrive at Islamabad International Airport in Islamabad. International flights typically arrive around midnight or in the afternoon. You must notify us of your flights, both inbound and departing, at least five days before your arrival in Pakistan. Unless you are taking a connecting flight from another location in Pakistan, our staff/guide will meet you at the international arrivals gate. The guide/staff will take you to the hotel. If you do not require airport transfer, please tell us in advance.

After lunch moving out for sightseeing. Start with the Faisal Mosque, an architectural wonder at the foot of the Margalla Hills, trailed by a visit to the Pakistan Monument and its museum, showcasing Pakistan’s cultural history. Then, head to Daman-e-Koh, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of Islamabad, and end the day at Shakarparian Hills, a peaceful park with stunning outlooks of the city. Please note that the Faisal Mosque is closed on Fridays.

This morning, members will have an amazing trip from Skardu Airport to Islamabad Airport. The magnificent Mount Nanga Parbat will be visible if the weather permits. After arriving in Skardu, you will have the rest of the day free to explore or relax. Note: If our flight is cancelled due to bad weather, we will start the drive to Chilas via Karakoram Highway 4,173 m, 461 km. •Travel Time: (45 to 50 minutes by Air) • Altitude: 2,498 m • Accommodation: Hotel • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, guests will explore the historic Kharpocho Fort, which provides breathtaking views of Skardu town and the Indus River. In their free time, they might choose to explore Skardu Bazaar and take a trip to the tranquil Sadpara Lake. Meanwhile, our team will complete the relevant government papers, which could take up to one or two days. The Trek will start with an amazing jeep safari through the scenic Shigar Valley on the way to Daso. The trip will follow the Braldu River, which has a magnificent path that leads to Askole, the last community on our itinerary. Members will get up from the jeeps and start their walk as soon as they arrive at Askole, though in certain situations, the trip may start earlier, depend on the state of the roads. After finalizing the essential equipment and supplies, the porters will prepare for the journey to Jhola. This valley is a gateway to the beautiful Biafo Glacier, which runs 50 kilometers from Hispar La to Braldu. Members will experience the excitement of moraine trekking as they navigate the glacier’s snout before descending to a peaceful lunch site near the Korofong River. The route continues to the spectacular confluence of the Braldu and Domordo rivers. Rather than following the traditional way, we will choose a newer, more adventurous trail ahead. The athletes will cross the river using a strong bridge. This day of the K2 Base Camp trip takes hikers through the stunning Braldu Gorge, which runs beside the Braldu River and offers amazing views of Trango Tower and Cathedral Peak. Trekkers should avoid sunburn because the trail is hot and arid. Depending on the water level, glacial streams cross the path, requiring the use of river crossing shoes. On clear days, the Baltoro Glacier’s snout is visible, providing a peek of the cold terrain ahead. This day is dedicated to acclimatization and relaxation at the peaceful Paiju Camp. Members are invited to unwind and acclimate to the altitude while admiring the breathtaking scenery. Meanwhile, the porters will use this opportunity to cook fresh bread, ensuring supplies for the next week on the glacier. This day of the K2 Base Camp journey is both tough and rewarding, as hikers cross the snout of the enormous Baltoro Glacier. The trail includes a sequence of ascents and descents across the steep glacier moraine, which need both diligence and patience. While the path is pretty safe, staying careful is crucial. With each step ahead, the panorama becomes more beautiful, providing unrivalled views of the renowned Trango Towers and the stunning Uli Biaho peaks. Members will traverse the glacier to Liligo, then continue over a steep road that hugs the Baltoro’s edge. On this day Trango Towers can ultimately be seen after passing through two tiny glaciers. The members will spend the following night at Urdukas, near the army camp. This day’s hike takes you into the heart of the Baltoro Glacier, along the medial moraine, with breathtaking views of Masherbrum (7,821 m) to the south. Members will face difficult climbs over rough terrain and past towering ice seracs. The hike ends at Goro II, the confluence of the Baltoro and Younghusband Glaciers, where you will spend your first night on the glacier. Temperatures may drop dramatically, adding to the experience. Today brings a rare opportunity to hike down the renowned Godwin-Austen Glacier to the Art Gilkey Memorial, a memorial to the American geologist and mountaineer located near K2 Base Camp. This extended but breathtaking day begins early, crossing glacial terrain onto a weak, rocky road that leads progressively to the towering presence of K2. As the journey progresses, the Mount K2 becomes larger, while Broad Peak rises rapidly to the right. After about three hours, we arrive at Broad Peak Base Camp, where we usually have lunch and members have the option of returning to Concordia. The trail leads closer to K2 and ends at the Art Gilkey Memorial, situated among a stark landscape of boulders and ice. A short scramble leads us to this grief place, where memorials and inscriptions commemorate those who died attempting to reach the peak of K2. From here, the vistas are stunning, with K2 towering directly overhead and climbing adventures dotting the slopes. The day’s walk seemed to be rather straightforward, considering the route primarily entails downhill. While the terrain may be easier to conquer, the descent presents its own set of problems that must be carefully navigated. The trip on this day will be rather easy as participants follow the familiar track into Bradlu Gorge, but there may be a few river crossings along the way. On the final day, members will follow their ways down the river, returning to Askole village and crossing the bridge. On this day, the participants will fly from Skardu to Islamabad Airport. You’ll enjoy relaxing at the Islamabad hotel. Domestic flights are sometimes cancelled due to weather conditions. In the case of a flight cancellation, you will drive to Chilas via the Karakorum Highway.
