The Northern Areas of Pakistan encompass 72,971 square kilometers of spectacular mountain terrain where the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindu Kush ranges converge. This region is home to five of the world's fourteen 8,000-meter peaks, including K2 and Nanga Parbat. Divided into administrative divisions of Baltistan and Gilgit, the landscape features the high-altitude Deosai Plains, the turquoise Attabad Lake, and the ancient Silk Road route. Whether witnessing spring blossoms, summer greenery, or golden autumn foliage, these valleys offer a diverse cultural and geographical experience unlike anywhere else on Earth. Alpine Karakoram Adventure provides expert-led journeys through these kingdoms, utilizing deep local knowledge to navigate high passes and remote village traditions.
