Mitre Peak rises to 6,010 meters in the heart of the Karakoram Range, positioned at the head of the Baltoro Glacier near legendary Concordia. Named for its striking resemblance to a bishop's mitre, this iconic pyramid stands as a dramatic sentinel at the junction where the Baltoro and Godwin-Austen glaciers meet, surrounded by K2, Broad Peak, and the Gasherbrum massif. While thousands of trekkers see its profile annually, few attempt its technical slopes. First conquered solo by Ivan Ghirardini in 1981, the mountain offers 65-degree ice sections and challenging rock. Alpine Karakoram Adventure provides comprehensive logistics and expert support for this 36-day expedition, combining world-class trekking with serious mountaineering in the most spectacular mountain arena on Earth.
