Bondit Peak, rising to 5,980 meters in the remote Hushe Valley of Pakistan's Karakoram Range, is a mountaineer's mountain. Formerly known as Muntin Peak, it remained unclimbed for decades, resisting attempts by elite international teams from Ireland, New Zealand, and Japan until its first successful ascent in July 2022. This formidable peak offers a genuine technical challenge with a relatively short two-day approach from the village of Kanday. The route involves a sustained climb up the northeast ridge, featuring technical ice and snow sections reaching gradients of 80 degrees and winter ice difficulties of WI 4. Climbers must navigate a heavily crevassed glacier and remain vigilant against avalanche hazards from hanging glaciers. Our 30-day expedition provides the logistics, support, and flexibility required to attempt this uncommercialized peak, offering spectacular summit views of K2, Broad Peak, and the Gasherbrums.
