Essential Gear Guide

Equipment &
Gear Lists

Survival starts with the right kit. In the harsh vertical world of the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindukush, equipment failure isn't just an inconvenience—it is a safety risk.

A frozen zipper or a jammed carabiner at 7,000 meters can change the outcome of an expedition. At Alpine Karakoram Adventure, our decades of experience in tourism in Pakistan have taught us exactly what works (and what fails) on these unforgiving mountains.

What We Provide

We provide all heavy group equipment—mess tents, kitchen gear, dining tables, chairs, and technical fixed ropes. However, personal gear, clothing, and climbing hardware are the responsibility of the traveler.

Below are our definitive gear lists, organized by journey type. Read them carefully, pack smart, and reach out if you have questions.
